Step 3. Then go to this audio track again, right-click on it and select “Create a version in AAC format.” Now the list of music in the Library will contain the original audio track and the short AAC version. To distinguish AAC from the original, it is better to rename it.

Attention: You can trim a fragment only from music files purchased from the iTunes store or downloaded from a computer. Audio tracks downloaded from the Apple Music service are in m4p format and are protected from conversion!
